HARPS NEEDS A VAN. GIVE US ONE, PLEASE?

Harps also enjoys coffee.

We at Harps would like to play in your village or with your band. If you would like the same, just let us know.

thank you for coming to our shows. we will play again someday.

Gutentag!

Becoming a "real band" that plays music in front of people will probably happen to Harps someday. In fact, it's scheduled to happen July 7, 2005 at the Liquid Lounge in Dallas, Texas. Until then, we remain only a figment of your imagination... (how bizarre, curious, strange)

Sadly, we've had to back out on the Thrio's gig, which (truly) breaks our hearts, since we were going to play with Sean Michel (of whom we think the highest, and his bass player is cute) and were going to see so many of your beautiful child-sprite auras dancing before us to the celestial music of Harps. But there will be another opportunity for that. Just you wait and see.

In other news, we are all poor, so if you would like to pay us for something, we will let you...we have no dignity. (the man took it)

Now (in conclusion), as another preview to our sound, I shall leave you with a taste of one of our guitar parts. We call this guitar part "motif" or sometimes "metal motif". It goes like this:

Dow-now-now Dow-now-now-now Dow-now-now-noowwwwww

Currently Playing
Strange Bird
By Augie March
see related

welcome back to our emerald display!

harps has been writing a few tunes and are currently gearing up to perform those few tunes beginning in july and stretching throughout the fall semester.  some songs to which you can look forward (please understand that we are much too poor to utilize recording equipment and/or the full capabilities of hyperlink technology):

prufrock.
seaweed and kerosene.
from frailty.
frame of mind.
color.

we have some more that remain nameless.  also, i'm not sure what the point was of disclosing these song titles, but we seem more of a real band to know that we have written real songs with real song titles.

once you hear that we are playing in a given location, proper ettiquette requires that you join us for an evening or two (if applicable in certain situations).

july 07 - [liquid lounge - dallas, TX] tentative
july 08 - [the door - dallas, TX] tentative
july 14 - [russellville, AR] tentative
july 15 - [thrio's - arkadelphia, AR]
july 17 - [andrew sings a boy band song at a wedding in LA - not L.A.]
july 24-28 - [harps joins up with some kiddies for a camp in northern AR.]
august 24 - [3/4 of harps begin their final year of college]

[andrew]
